The struggle

Emotions – (sigh!) I feel soooo tired today!! What was up with Linden last night?

Brain – I TOLD you not to eat that chocolate before bed.

Body – Chocolate? Did someone say chocolate? I like chocolate!

Emotions – Yes! Me too! Makes me feel so happy 🙂

Brain – I told you when you opened the packet. I told you when you put your hand on it and I told you when you ate it, that you would regret eating the chocolate! Babies don’t like chocolate!

Body – Chocolate? Did someone say chocolate? I like chocolate!

Emotions – oh but it was so sweet and yummy. Poor little bubba. Why doesn’t she like chocolate again?

Brain – I TOLD you! Babies don’t like it! It has caffiene which raises your blood pressure and stimulates your adrenal glands … and it moves through your breast milk. If you were a little baby trying to sleep do you think that would help?

Emotions – no, I suppose not. Poor little poppet. No more chocolate for me then, that is sad.

Body – Chocolate? Did someone say chocolate? I like chocolate!

  1. That is a very familiar inner conversation! I was at least able to settle for white chocolate. It felt like I was eating chocolate (sort of) and there was no caffeine so Ayla was still able to sleep….as long as I didn’t eat too much.
